Retreat Registration and Payment

The cost of attending is A$765.00 which covers accommodation and the standard lacto-ovo vegetarian food.

Dates

The retreat runs for 8 days from Saturday January 13th to Sunday January 21st, 2018. If you wish to attend, please:
(i) complete an online application form here as soon as possible.
(ii) pay a deposit of at least $250.00 and notify us of any special food requirements by no later than Friday, December 29th.
(iii) please pay the A$515 balance of the retreat fee by no later than Friday, January 5th 2018.

Places will only be reserved once a deposit is made and the completed application form is lodged.

Payments

The preferred payment method is by electronic funds transfer (bank transfer) or you can pay with your credit card via Paypal. Paypal payments attract a $18.00 surcharge to cover the merchant fee collected by Paypal.

Step 2 - Email us with the payment details

Please confirm your payment by sending an email to with the following information:

  1. Your name (plus the name of the account if different to yours)
  2. BSB and account number from which payment was made
  3. Amount of payment
  4. Date of payment
  5. Electronic receipt or confirmation number

Don't forget to complete an online application form.

Paypal payments

Please email us at and we'll send you a Paypal invoice for payment via Paypal's online secure payment gateway. Paypal payments attract a $18.00 surcharge to cover the merchant fee collected by Paypal. Please note that in the interest of security Open Way Zen neither sees nor stores any credit card information at any point in time.

Other payment methods

If you can't pay via bank transfer or Paypal please drop us an email and we can work out an alternative method of payment.

Cancellations

Because we have to buy food before the retreat, you will forfeit your A$250.00 deposit if you cancel after Friday January 5th

Anything that you have paid in excess of the A$250.00 deposit will be refunded in full

Special food requirements

Please tell us by no later than Friday December 29th 2017 of any special dietary requirements. We strongly encourage you to go with the standard lacto-ovo menu unless you have a medical condition that requires special foods. Such food items may incur an additional charge unless you bring your own.

Arrival Time

Please arrive at the Retreat Centre after 3pm and no later than 4pm. Please allow for the fact that the road between Mudgeeraba and Springbrook (Route 99) will be closed for repair – this means you will have to travel via Nerang on Route 97 (Exit 69 / Nerang-Murwillumbah Road).

  • A list of rooms will be drawn up on the white-board in the dining hall, please mark the room you would like to stay in.
  • Please sign a hard copy of an indemnity form which will be available in the dining hall
  • You should also select a place to sit in the meditation hall when it has been set up. You can do this by leaving your meditation gear or a personal item in the selected place. Please keep to this place for the whole retreat.
  • In the small room next to the dining hall a roster of jobs will be posted - please sign up for some jobs

There will be an orientation in the meditation hall on retreat procedures and the retreat, as well as instruction on seated and walking meditation, and other matters relating to the practice.
